| Michael BAINBRIDGE - Clinical Informatician and UK IMIA Representative Speech Title: Mike has been a leading figure in Clinical Informatics for 25 years working both for Government and Industry. He has designed and brought to market Clinical Computer Systems for General Practitioners. He was instrumental in the 2003 negotiation of the IT elements of the current General Practitioner Contracts in the UK. He currently leads the Clinical Architecture, Assistive Technology and Clinical Decision Support teams at NHS Connecting for Health (NHS CFH). These teams are delivering innovations in hardware design, clinical interface design and interfaces for the both professionals and citizens to the electronic medical record. As a former General Medical Practitioner and medical informatics expert, Mike brings a unique insight to the field. |

| W Ed HAMMOND - Board Chair of HL7 and Professor Emeritus at Duke University Speech Title: W. Ed Hammond is Professor-emeritus, Community and Family Medicine, School of Medicine and Professor-emeritus, Biomedical Engineering, Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University, Durham, NC. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Health Sectors Management Division of the Fuqua School of Business. He has had extensive experience in the design and implementation of electronic health records, starting in 1970. He is a co-developer of The Medical Record (TMR), which functions in both inpatient and outpatient settings and is a clinical as well as a billing record system. He is also involved in the development of health data standards and in the development of controlled vocabularies. |

| Marc PROBST - Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Intermoutain Healthcare Inc. - Member of US Health Information Technology Policy Committee Speech Title: Marc Probst is the Chief Information Officer and Vice President at Intermountain Healthcare, an integrated delivery network (IDN) based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Additionally, Marc has been appointed to serve on the Federal Healthcare Information Technology Policy Committee which is assisting in developing HIT Policy for the U.S. Government. Marc has been a leader in Information Technology and Healthcare services for the past 18 years. Prior to Intermountain, Marc was a Partner with Deloitte Consulting and has served as the Chief Information Officer for the nation’s largest Third Party Administrator (TPA) and as a Partner for Ernst & Young. Marc is experienced in all aspects of information technology planning, design, development, deployment and operation. |

| Victor J STRECHER - Professor and Director, Center for Health Communications Research, University of Michigan Schools of Public Health and Medicine - Founder and Chief Visionary Officer, HealthMedia, Inc., and Johnson & Johnson Company Speech Title: Dr. Strecher graduated in 1983 with an M.P.H. and Ph.D. in Health Behavior & Health Education from the University of Michigan. After positions as Assistant and Associate Professor in the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina, Dr. Strecher returned in 1995 to University of Michigan, where he became Professor of Health Behavior & Health Education and Director of Cancer Prevention and Control in the University of Michigan’s Comprehensive Cancer Center. Within a decade, the Cancer Prevention and Control Program under Dr. Strecher’s direction grew from roughly $2 million to over $14 million in annual direct grant funding. Dr. Strecher founded and directs the Center for Health Communications Research, a multidisciplinary team of behavioral scientists, physicians, computer engineers, instructional designers, graphic artists, and students from a wide range of disciplines. |

| Dan RUSSLER - VP Clinical Informatics, Oracle Health Sciences Strategy Speech Title: Daniel C. Russler, M.D., is vice president of clinical informatics for Oracle. His current role at Oracle includes creating strategies for healthcare standards, healthcare training, and new product development in healthcare intelligence and healthcare information exchange. Dr Russler also played a key role in the development of the HL7 Reference Information Model for HL7 Version 3 and is past member and Treasurer of the Board of HL7. He gives frequent tutorials on HL7 requirements definition and modeling and the use of HL7 standards in the IHE document sharing architecture. |

| NT CHEUNG - Chief Medical Information Officer, Hospital Authority, Hong Kong Speech Title: N.T. Cheung is the Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HKHA) and is also the Consultant for eHealth for the Hong Kong Government. As the head of health informatics in the Hospital Authority, NT has taken the Authority from a virtual “green fields” site in 1991 to today’s situation where clinical information systems are an indispensable part of the care delivery process for 30,000 clinical users. His current work focuses on taking the Hospital Authority’s Clinical Management System (CMS) on a generational leap to the next level of computerized record system functionality to improve the already world-class facilities in the CMS for the documentation and effective management of diseases and care. He works closely with clinicians and executives in the HKHA to ensure that the CMS supports organizational initiatives and that patient benefits are being realized. |
