Registration:

  1. Question:Who needs to register?
    Answer: Anyone who wishes to participate in the eHealth Forum 2009 and/or attend the pre-forum workshops and symposium needs to register for the eHealth Forum 2009. Presenters are also required to register and pay the registration fee for participation.
  2. Question: What is included in my registration?
    Answer: The registration for the eHealth Forum 2009 forum package includes full participation in all regular forum events, together with a light lunch on Day 1 and a buffet luncheon on Day 2. When you register for the eHealth Forum 2009, you may select and pay for the optional pre-conference workshops and pre-conference symposium.
  3. Question: Can I register for others as a group?
    Answer: Yes, you can act as a contact point of your organisation and help the others from your organization to register and pay as a group.
  4. Question: What are the fees and are there discounts available?
    Answer: Please click here for discounts available.
  5. Question: Can I register onsite?
    Answer: To facilitate better event planning, we do not accept on-site registration.
  6. Question: What is the cancellation policy?
    Answer: Any notice of cancellation must be received by the Forum Secretariat within one month from the transaction date and on or before 18 September 2009 by mail, fax or post. The refund, 50% of the paid registration fee, will be processed within one month from the cancellation request date.  Requests for cancellation after 18 September 2009 will NOT be entertained and the registration fee will NOT be refunded.

Online Registration:

  1. Question: What do I need for online registration?
    Answer: You’ll need to fill in your personal details and the sessions you would like to attend. It also requires your credit card to make payment. If you register as a group, please prepare the contact information of other participants as well.
  2. Question: What are the steps to register online?
    Answer: 1. Fill in contact information;  2. Select Registration Type;  3. Add Participants (Including Yourself);  4. Make Online Payment;  5. Print Confirmation;  6. Log Out
  3. Question: Can I register without using a credit card?
    Answer: In general, participant registration is done at the online registration page and it requires credit card payment. If this is not possible for you to do the online payment, we also accept payments by cheque in Hong Kong Dolloars payable to “eHealth Consortium Limited”. However, please be reminded that online registration is still required.
  4. Question: If I make the payment by cheque, do I still need to register online?
    Answer: Yes, you still have to complete the online registration. Please make a cheque payable to “eHealth Consortium Limited” and write the username (email address you used to register) and the contact phone number on the back of the cheque and post it to eHealth Forum Secretariat, 27th Floor, 9 Wing Hong Street, Cheung Sha Wan, Hong Kong.
  5. Question: What should I use as my login name?
    Answer: We strongly suggest you to use your email address as your login name, so that you can receive the important updates about the Forum.
  6. Question: Do I have to enter my email account password?
    Answer: No. The password created is only for you to access your registration data on this website. You can create any password that is easy for you to remember.
  7. Question: Why do I need a login name and password to register?
    Answer: Having a login name and password will allow you to add more participants and update your registration information online at a later stage.
  8. Question: Do I need to add myself as a participant in the participant list?
    Answer: Yes.
  9. Question: How can I correct/modify our initial registration information?
    Answer: Log in to your account and you can correct/modify my initial information.
  10. Question: Can I register for additional program elements (e.g. pre-forum workshops or symposium) after completing my initial registration?
    Answer: You can make changes on your registration before making the online payment. But, after making the online payment, you cannot change any registration details or register for additional programs elements.
  11. Question: Can I update my information online?
    Answer: Yes, after you have created and logged in to your account, you will have the option of editing your account information.
  12. Question: Why is there no confirmation letter available for downloading/printing?
    Answer: You will only see a link to your confirmation letter after finishing the online payment. Please print it and bring it together when you attend the eHealth Forum 2009 in October.
  13. Question: Why I cannot add additional participants to the my registration form?
    Answer: Please note after tendering payment, you will NOT be able to add additional participants to this registration form.  You would be able to change participant information.  If you’d like to add new participants after payment, please use create another login account.

Payment:

  1. Question: What are the payment methods?
    Answer: The default payment is by Credit Card.
  2. Question: Which payment gateways does this site use?
    Answer: PayPal (accepts Visa, Master, AMEX, Diners) and AliPay (accepts Union Pay credit cards)
  3. Question: What is the currency used for the payment gateways?
    Answer: All fees, including pre-forum workshop/symposium fees and event registration fees, are in Hong Kong dollars.  (AliPay converts the fee into RMB for Union Pay credit card users.)
  4. Question: Is there any transaction limits by the payment gateways?
    Answer: Yes,the transaction limit for AliPay is HK$10,000 per transaction.
  5. Question: Will I get a receipt for online payment?
    Answer: Yes, Paypal will provide you an electronic record of the transaction.
  6. Question: Can I pay in cash?
    Answer: No, you can only pay by credit cards or Hong Kong dollars cheques (payable to “eHealth Consortium Limited”) in Hong Kong dollars.

Students:

  1. Question: What are the requirements for student registration?
    Answer: To register as a student, you need to be a full-time university student studying in Hong Kong or a part-time student of HKU SPACE Health Informatics. Please provide us your student ID number in the online registration form.

Paper Presenters:

  1. Question: Do I need to register to attend eHealth Forum 2009 if I am a presenter?
    Answer: Yes, acceptance as a presenter is not equivalent to any registration at the Forum, and registration fee is required for participation. Please ensure that your assigned abstract number is included in your registration form.
  2. Question: What are the requirements for presenters registration?
    Answer: To register as a presenter, your abstracts must be accepted by the Organizing Committee of the eHealth Forum 2009. The regular rate for the paper presenter is HK$500, including admission for 2 days, a light lunch in Day 1 and a buffet luncheon in Day 2.

Press Representatives:

  1. Question: How to register as a Press Representative?
    Answer: To register as a Press Representative please contact our PR Sponsor. Contact details will be provided later.

Others:

  1. Question: Will the name badges be sent to us?
    Answer: No, exhibition and/or conference badges will not be sent prior to the event – please collect your badge upon arrival at the eHealth Forum 2009 registration counter.
  2. Question: What should I do if I have a free registration offered by the eHealth Forum?
    Answer: Register online first, then send the details to us at info We will manually waive the payment on the system.
